Mark Schelbert

Mark has over 20 years of both operating and investment banking experience. As Managing Partner at Shackleton Equity Partners, Mark led the acquisition of RTI Electronics, Excel Meridian Data, CyberGlove Systems, and Safeharbor Knowledge Solutions.

His operating experience includes his position as the Chief Executive Officer of a national out-of-home media and marketing company where he was responsible for media strategy and sales operations. Mark also served on the Board of Directors of a television commerical production company. 

Prior to his operating experience, Mark was an Associate of Chanin Capital Partners. Mark assisted in 13 restructuring transactions in aggregate value of over $43 billion, and consummated three mergers and acquisitions transactions in aggregate value of over $2 billion. Past deals include: Adelphia Communications Corp., Consolidated Freight, Dictaphone, ITC^DeltaCom, Inc.; McLeodUSA, Inc.; Venture Holdings Company, LLC; Global Crossing, Ltd.; Nextel International, Inc.; RCN Corp.; and Silicon Graphics, Inc.

Mark graduated with a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley. Prior to attending business school, Mr. Schelbert received his Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in economics from the University California of Santa Barbara, where he also founded and organized the pilot program for the development of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Engineering Management (CEEM).

Mark is a member of the Santa Monica Bay Chapter of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). He previously served as a Director of the Southern California Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA). Mark is also on the advisory board of Floating Doctors, an international healthcare relief organization, and was a member of the 2019 class of the U.S. Department of Defense's Civilian Orientation Conference.
