How We Partner with Independent Sponsors

DCG actively seeks to partner with experienced independent sponsors who have sourced quality acquisition deals relevant to our investment focus and that meet our investment criteria.  

We generally look to provide the entire debt financing required for the transaction, but can alternatively be the junior or subordinated debt behind a senior bank lender. In some cases, DCG may also participate in the equity requirement.   

Advantage of partnering with DCG:

  • Sponsor Governance: We do not require control and can structure flexible governance that allows the independent sponsor to maintain operational control.  

  • Sponsor Economics: DCG offers independent sponsors preferable economics that can include closing fees, annual management fees, promote structures, and referral fees. 

  • Strategic Partner: Given our domain expertise, we can (1) quickly issue letters of support and financing; (2) partner with the sponsor in the letter of intent to strengthen the bid, (3) assist with operational diligence, (4) provide strategic resources during the term of the investment, and (5) assist with sourcing add-on targets.
